I decided to head out for a drive 90 minutes east of Calgary to visit what is referred to as Dinosaur Valley in Drumheller, Alberta. As I approached my destination the landscape quickly changed from prairie fields to a sense that I was suddenly on another planet. This land of dinosaur's bones and capstone pillars are called 'Hoodoo's' and can be found throughout the badlands, dating back millions of years to the Cretaceous period.
